Family betrayed by Arl Howe, entire castle ravaged. Father mortally wounded, mother stayed behind to help fight; father promised Robyn to the Grey Wardens in exchange for Duncan saving her life. Brother's family also killed; brother thought killed at Osatagar.

➵ broken circle

Saved as many mages as possible. Denied Cullen's request.  Gained support of the mages to fight the Dawkspawn. Recruited the First Enchanter in order to save Connor from the demon.

➵ the arl of redcliffe

Brought the First Enchanger to perform Jowan's ritual so that Connor and Isolde would be saved. Sent Jowan into the Fade to defeat the demon. Retrieved a pinch of ashes for the Arl. Gained support of Eamon's men to fight the Darkspawn.

➵ nature of the beast

Agreed to help the elves; discovered the truth and was able to work peace between the Dalish and werewolves. Convinced Zathrian to give his life to break the curse and let go of his old grudge. Gained support of the Dalish to fight the Darkspawn.

➵ a paragon of her kind

Rallied for Harrowmont and fought for him in the Proving. Fought Branka after agreeing with Calidin; destroyed the Anvil of the Void. Gained support of the dwarves to fight the Darkspawn.  Helped Dagna study in the Circle.

Alistiar dueled and killed Loghain. Supported Anora for queen.

➵ the battle of denerim

Did not convince Alistair to perform the ritual. Defeated the Archdemon and struck the finishing blow, dying in the process.

All companions survived.
Morrigan vanished after the final battle.
Alistair returned to the Wardens.
Leliana left to return to the Temple of Sacred Ashes.
Sten returned to the Par Vollen.
Oghren stayed on the surface to join the human army.
Zevran considering leaving for Par Vollen to avoid the Crows.
Wynne leaves to accompany Shale to Tevinter.
Shale leaves to try and regain life as a dwarf.
Fergus arrived alive and well in the end.

da2 state

The Champion of Kirkwall was the (purple/sarcastic) mage Garrett Hawke.  His sister Bethany died escaping Lothering and his brother Carver eventually joined the templars.  He sided with the mages, fought against Petrice, defeated the Arishok in single combat, saw the return of the pirate, Isabela, and spared Anders' life.

inquisition state

The Inquisitor was a female Dalish mage (Lavellan).  She sided with the mages, recruited the Wardens, left Alistair in the Fade, saw Celene and Briala reunited, drank from the well herself, and a hardened Leliana became Divine.
